The dilemma for those interested in understanding A/E results from the possibility of its existence, much in the same manner as it does for Cross. Consider the author of the work. Though several possibilities exist (including that Cross himself fabricated the entire story), it is generally held that Mike A. is the author of A/E.
Details of his life are few. Details of his death are much greater, but we are still left with an extremely incomplete portrait.
	His demise (often misread as a suicide) was due to an intense focus on himself and, therefore, we are tempted to see a parallel between actual events and those in A/E.
