resistance, measured in ohms, in a way tells us how conductive a medium is. the less it allows those electrons to flow, the greater the resistance of a medium. and, the higher the ohms, therefore. think of our plumbing example from above. resistance is almost like the size of the pipe. the smaller the diameter of the pipe, the less water will be able to flow through in a particular amount of time. in that case we could say that the pipe has greater resistance than a pipe with a larger diameter.
